Q04What experience and age do I need?

Riders must be 14 or over and already comfortable with a clutch, gears and throttle. This is not a beginner machine and we do not run learner sessions on it. If you have never ridden a geared bike, start on a quad.

There is no fleet to choose from here, only the KTM 450, so the price is set purely by how long you ride.
It runs from AED 500 for 30 minutes to AED 700 for an hour, AED 1,200 for two hours, AED 1,500 for three and AED 2,000 for the full four-hour session. No seat options, no engine tiers, just time in the dunes.
It is not a beginner machine
This is the one place on the site where price is not the thing that should decide your booking.
The KTM 450 is a geared enduro bike for riders 14 and over who can already work a clutch, gears and throttle. If you have never ridden a manual bike in sand, the AED 500 entry ride is not a shortcut into it, a quad is where to start.
Which duration to pay for
The 30-minute slot is a control-check, not a real ride.
At AED 500 it is enough to learn the bike and cross a few faces. Most riders want the AED 700 hour, which is the balanced session. Two hours and beyond, AED 1,200 to AED 2,000, are for riders who are already fit and confident on a bike, because a dirt bike is far more physical than a buggy or a quad.

How it compares to a buggy or quad
The dirt bike starts higher than either of the other two, and the reason is the ride, not the engine.
A single-rider machine needs its own guide and runs in smaller, more supervised sessions, so the AED 500 start sits above the buggy and quad. If you want two people on one price or a first time in the dunes, a buggy or quad is both cheaper and easier. Cancel more than 24 hours before your slot and you get a full refund.
